favorite worship songs of all time..
So as a sort of switch up, I thought I'd share with you my 2 favorite worship songs of all time! How exciting is that?
Holy of Holies-
Take me past the outer courts, through the holy place,
past the brazen altar, Lord I want to see your face, pass me by the crowds of people,
and the priests who sing your praise,
Lord I hunger and thirst for your righteousness,
and it's only found in one place,
Take me into the holy of holies,
Take me in by the blood of the lamb,
Take me into the holy of holies,
Take the coal, cleanse my lips,
here I am
Beautiful Scandalous Night-
Go on up to the mountain of mercy
To the crimson perpetual tide
Kneel down on the shore
Be thirsty no more
Go under and be purified
Follow Christ to the holy mountain
Sinner sorry and wrecked by the fall
Cleanse your heart and your soul
In the fountain that flowed
For you and for me and for all
Chorus:
At the wonderful, tragic, mysterious tree
On that beautiful, scandalous night you and me
Were atoned by His blood and forever washed white
On that beautiful, scandalous night
On the hillside, you will be delivered
At the foot of the cross justified
And your spirit restored
By the river that poured
From our blessed Savior's side
...
so that was them... I think I like the second one because it shows the irony of the christian faith. A salvation through the death of the savior. How a betrayal can be turned into a miracle. How God can use our most imperfect attempts at rebellion for his ultimate good.
The first song is more about desiring to know God which is something I would like to start striving for again.
Well, I'm audi 5000.
Peace-
T
